Ou Werf Woodcutter's Lodge Featured

The Ou Werf Woodcutter's Lodge is built over a ruin, dating back to the 1730’s and 9- 12 are able to sleep around the slave built walls which divide the area in three convenient divisions.

The wooden walls slide open removing any barrier from the exterior. The Lodge has all the essential comforts - gas hot water, stove and fridge with two showers and flush toilets. It does not have electricity, however, so be sure to have your phones and cameras fully charged! There is space surrounding the Lodge for campers to join a group if they prefer the full on camping option. The road access is a farm track and although sedans frequently make it, 4x4’s or bakkies are ideal.

Although there are comfortable beds and mattresses we ask guests to bring their own pillows and duvets. A real break away spot for a group of friends or families who want to share the pristine environment of Honeywood. Birdwatchers, Bikers and Hikers all have enjoyed the rustic isolation of the Lodge.
