Woody's has often been described as one of the most romantic spots in the country. Woody's is a restored woodcutters' cottage dating back to a period when Swellendam and its surrounding area provided timber for buildings in Cape Town. It has a large indoor hearth and wood is provided for guests. The view from the deck overlooks the rolling hills of Honeywood. Gas lamps, fridge, stove and hot water are available but no electricity. The cottage is fully equipped with bedding, cutlery and crockery – you only need to bring your provisions. Relax and enjoy the candlelight with your partner.

Woody's is an isolated gem, as a result the tracks to it is not suitable for very low vehicles - a 4x4 is ideal, but normal saloon cars reach the cottages easily in dry conditions. If necessary we take guests across, but most prefer the challenge of the farm track. Because it is so isolated we prefer not to offer meals for guests staying there and we encourage guests to stay for at least two nights to enjoy the peaceful ambiance.
