Honey

Our honey is pure, raw, and minimally filtered - bursting with natural flavour, colour, and texture. Each jar reflects the unique nectar source the bees visited. We can even trace it back to the exact hive location and blooming season.

What Our Visitors Have To Say...

The self-catering cottages are comfortable and perfectly rustic with all the basic necessities available. There are plenty of activities to do on the farm such as hiking/ walking, horse riding, swimming, birding etc. but we also really enjoyed relaxing amongst the peace and quiet with fresh farm air. John and Miranda are so so lovely and welcoming! (Not to mention their divine honey which is for sure the best we’ve ever tasted). We will definitely be back soon!

Oakvale is a super family home, Laila has so much character, it reminds me of my grandmothers farmhouse in Zim. Such a lovely farm.

Kerosene83

Has become an annual pilgrimage with our children and friends in the outlying cottages. Peaceful, stunning countryside, walks and on the edge of the Grootvadersbosch reserve. John and Miranda are great. Bedding, gas stove, fridge etc. Basic but perfect for time without wifi and children's gadgets!

Devon

Amazing farm with beautiful views. We stayed in Lailas Cottage. Awed by all the antiques in the house. Lovely Gardens. We had the privilege of witnessing an Amethyst Sunbird be ringed by a birding expert. There was a nest with chicks on the front lawn.

Jutta

No noise, no nonsense, just peace and quiet with great people.

Depending on how adventurous you feel, choose the remote cottages to really get away from it all!

The best honey you can ever buy. During a visit to the area in the Western Cape we bought one bottle of creamed honey. We immediately knew that this was pure, unadulterated honey. Recently we ordered a case of raw unheated and unfiltered honey with our beloved creamed honey and had it courier delivered to us in Centurion. We love that each bottle is individually bottled and traceable to the hive and where it was harvested. The service we received was equally superior. Honeywood Farm honey deserves a 10 out of 5! This is real 🍯

An exceedingly pleasant stay!! (besides the giant spider. The horses were lovely ) We appreciate John's down to earth friendliness, and offer to accommodate an extra night. You really need it to make the most of the farm and surrounds, as there is so much nature, winding hilly country paths, streams, forests, and hills to explore and experience, besides outlying areas.

The cottage is delightfully sparse and rustic, with no frills or excess. And yet not lacking in anything or off putting or uncomfortable. It puts your senses at ease and makes you focus on the experience, Creation, and each other. Clover cottage is incredibly picturesque and welcoming.

The dirt road is 100% driveable for a hatchback, even a 50 year old one, though there are patches that care and attention, and don't expect to drive more than 30-40kms/hr if you're in a small car.

Honeywood farm was probably the most fondly remembered stay of our road trip, and we heartily recommend it!
